You can send a message.
The app can view text messages from your phone. You can also reply to and view incoming text messages in one place. Microsoft uses a system that updates your conversations to match your phone. Messages you delete from your phone will also disappear from the computer.
Sending a text via the Link to Windows application is easy. The layout is similar to an email. Access your existing messages by clicking “Messages” in the left sidebar. In case they do not appear, simply click “Refresh” to reload the page. Once you access your messages, click on the message thread you want to reply to and type your message in the “Enter message” box.
You can make phone calls on your Computer
Yes, you can make and receive calls on your computer through the Link to Windows app. For those who use laptops and phones, this feature is invaluable. You don’t have to take your attention away from the screen when answering a phone call. This feature is interesting and quite new for many users.
Just connect the app to your smartphone via Bluetooth. Make sure your computer has the Windows 10 May 2019 update (or newer) and your smartphone is running Android 7.0 or newer. It is important that your phone also has Bluetooth support.

1- Turn on your computer and start the application. Then go to the “Calls” feature.

Link to Windows application can show you the latest photos taken on your phone, including screenshots. In the right sidebar, click “Photos” to show the most recent photos you have taken. To transfer photos to your computer, select them and drag them to a folder in File Explorer or right-click on them and select “Copy” or “Save as.” You can also share these images via text or email by selecting “Share.”
This feature is more convenient than connecting your phone to your computer or saving files to Google Photos or OneDrive. It will make the transfer much faster.
You Can Mirror Notifications
The app can mirror notifications from your phone to your computer. This feature was previously available in the Beta version, but users can now enjoy it fully. Notifications from your phone will appear on your computer. If you delete notifications from your PC, they will also disappear from your mobile phone.
You can already use this feature after installing the app on your devices. The good thing about this is that you can filter the app notifications you want to sync with your Windows computer. If you dismiss a notification on your computer, you don’t need to do this on your phone.
How to Install Your Phone Companion?
Link to Windows application works with Windows and any smartphone brands. To benefit from the features of this application, you need to connect your device to your computer. Here’s a guide on how to do it.
First, you need to have the correct version of Windows 10 on your computer and the Your Phone Companion app. Your smartphone must also be running the correct Android version.
The name of the app also varies depending on the smartphone. For example, most Android phones have it listed as Your Phone Companion (YPC), while select Samsung phones have the Link to Windows (LTW) app.
When downloading the app, look for apps called “Your Phone Companion – Link to Windows” on Google Play Store and Galaxy Store. In the Microsoft Store, the application is available under the name “Your Phone”. All of these apps are the same and provide the same features.
On your PC
Search for Your Phone in the search bar on the taskbar and select the Your Phone app.
Then, sign in to your Microsoft Account. Remember to use the same Microsoft account on your phone and PC.
On Your Smartphone
Install the “Link to Windows” and open the application.
Follow the guided installation process. Sign in with the same Microsoft Account you use on your computer.
